My life style companion Suzuki Hustler & VanVan



A professional chef who makes food and gives happiness to many people by the foods.
New ingredients, new taste, more attractive presentation, Executive Chef Kim HyungSuk feels happiness as he studies food, and he feels same way when he manages or decorate his cars like foods.

You camp a lot, and you are good at car washing and maintenance. Can you tell us the secret to obtain your time enjoy car life like this?

"I follow the basic principles. As a person who pursues Work-Life-Balance life style for my own happiness and quality of life, I have the motto that in order for me to be happy, look around do the best I can do for my family."

"I do housework such as cleaning, cooking for family and spending time with my son, I do everything best I can do for home, all those devoted times returns to me as the my own time."

 Suzuki Hustler is the one he bought recently among the vehicles he owns. It is the 2018 Tough Wild edition, this is the only model exist in South Korea, and brought as household goods due to the suspension of imports of Japanese compact cars. Sky blue, and black two-toned color scheme make this car so gorgeous.

He did not particularly like the Suzuki brand until he get interested in Suzuki VanVan motorcycle. Thick rear wheel and outdoor style looking, all those concepts give him feel like it would take him anywhere. Chef Kim thought that this bike would brings perfect story to my taste of life style.
After a long wait, Chef Kim bought a red Van Van 2018, and a few days later, he also found the edition only one in Korea and bought it.

"I’ve drove many Japanese compact cars from Suzuki Alto Lapin, Daihatsu Mira Cocoa to Honda S660, Suzuki Hustler is the one I was interested long ago. this car is suitable for outdoor, and same manufacture brand with Van Van. It was a fateful combination in many ways that it fits perfectly with the story of the two vehicles and my lifestyle. That's how the relationship began."

‌Hustler boasts a cute and unique exterior, colorful body color, high fuel economy with ENE charge, and a versatile indoor space. In particular, the Wild Edition is valuable because of its scarcity.

Chef Kim note that the two-wheel NA 660cc engine, not the four-wheel turbo or two-wheel turbo, seem to be the drawbacks.

"My car purchasing cycle is up to 9 months. It's hard to exceed 1 year or difficult to ride more than 10,000km. If I accomplished what I've plan to do, I want to make another one with new ride.I think a car is like an art work rather than simply ride, and I love the process of creating joyful results with people who are similar in character, car is the very good medium that build relationship with those kind people. Good news is that I feel like I would spend more than a year with this Suzuki Hustler."

Chef Kim has mentioned that his favorite Japanese rock group L'Arc~en~ciel's song called 'Dive to Blue’ describes well what he has in mind for this car.
We looked for design inspiration from surfing and wooden material on the beach among the images that the ocean gives.
We choose the wood patterned vinyl sheets on Off-blue metallic body in order to realize a vintage vehicle that fits beach concept.
We were trying to melt the Chef Kim’s lifestyle into his car, he has hobbies such as bicycle riding, camping, RC, and drones, so we decided to create a pattern with illustrations for hobby items. 
The theme is camping and outdoors. we collected the camping-related props, and in addition, we expressed the pattern of the chef Kim’s life style items such as caravan, drone, RC, bicycle with illustrated cute icons that match the hustler image.

it was not just ordinary decals, but as an artwork was completed that contained the owner's personality and his own story.


Suzuki VanVan 200

The custom concept of this VanVan 200 model was 'matching with the Hustler like a set'. 
Suzuki Hustler has a two-tone combination of blue and black, we've painted VanVan fuel tank and side cover in off-blue metallic color and fender in black, like the Hustler.
We put a lot of effort into the seat customization, which is the largest visual part of the motorcycle. During researching, we found that there is a model with a custom seat cover which has checkered patterns in the side bolster part among the Hustler Editions. That's the one gave us inspired.
We applied a combination of natural leather and tweed fabric to the seat with selected fabrics not too heavy for maximizing ocean theme concept along with Hustler.

Fabric we used is pure wool tweed from Marton Milles (Yorkshire, UK), leather is Minerva Box from Badalassi Carlo (Tuscany, IT)
