Woman who got infected with Porsche Virus



Porsche, a brand that many car enthusiasts want to ride at least once in a lifetime. Porsche make vehicles excellent in a variety of ways and boast high qualities such as jokes that 'aliens make Porsche'.

‌F.MAG has interviewed Kim RyeongEun, who is in charge of External Relations Director at Porsche's official Korean club 'Porsche Club Korea’.

Mrs. Kim owns a Porsche 718 Boxster (MY 2018). She had a strong lingering experience when she first encountered the leisurely appearance of a middle-aged or elderly couple enjoying open air driving with the Boxster while she living in Germany from 1999 to 2002, it was reason that Porsche Boxster was chosen as the criterion.

‌“That Boxster seemed to be spreading scents and looked beautiful. I thought it was the last chapter of a lot of convertible cars that I drove past. I think it is the first gateway to be infected a Porsche Virus”.

Mrs.Kim who is caught with the 'Porsche virus,'  
(once you driving a Porsche won't be satisfied with other cars)
said that the excellent cornering ability of the 718 Boxster adds more fun to driving.

Kim RyeongEun, a person F.MAG met, she wasn't just a driver driving a pretty convertible like a fashion item, but a person who was proficient in driving as a sport like winding and track driving.

‌“I barely enjoying sport driving alone, fortunately regular meetings at PCK are held every month. So far, I have been enjoying a lot of fun with the members, such as driving on the track without getting bored.”

She has enjoyed minor tuning since the '90s, and she always felt good when getting in a car after changing parts such as steering wheel, wheel, audio, muffler and so on.

“I like music, cars, and the sea. In other words, I like listening to music loudly, so I enjoy driving alone.
Sometimes I practice singing and practice speech for a meeting, in that sense I want my car to be the only independent space.
I think my car is my closest friends anytime.”

As Mrs.Kim considers her 718 Boxster is the closest friend now a days, she checks the condition of the vehicle herself while washing and waxing the car.

Her 718 Boxster was styled three times in Formarea, every time she visit our garage we were surprised at the vehicle well maintained the appearance just like moment being finished a styling job.

Our first styling work on white 718 Boxster was the Martini Racing Livery, after that we do the Brumos Racing Rolex 24 Daytona styling, and last one is the Rothmans Porsche Racing Livery.

“I started getting interested in decals while riding the Ford Mustang. The range of decal work has gradually expanded from simple stripe work initially. Decals began to draw my attention like a fashion item. Sensuous decal works give a car so attractive and feel like driving a new car."

Her life in Germany - an advanced country in automobile culture, may have given her such an insight.
She has a good understanding of livery styling. Therefore, we actively presented the design direction while holding a meeting with her, and we have received our suggestions well, and the results are also very satisfied.

Formarea's styling comment

Mrs.Kim has brought her Porsche 718 Boxster every year to Formarea for styling a racing livery since she bought her vehicle.
It's a kind of subscription-like concept, which is a great way to change the appearance of your car, so you can ride it longer and add affection to your car.

Her 718 Boxster has gone through three livery works so far, since it's a white vehicle, it's well suited for any styling and has been well proceeding without much difficulty.

The most important part of livery styling is the design motif from the historic racing competitions that Porsche took part in.
Vehicles that competed in historical competitions are usually old Porsche cars, which are different from the current Porsche design.
In other words, we are reinterpreting the racing livery to fit with the modern Porsche design then creating a draft to fit with the 718 Boxster's charactor line.

Her tendency restrains to have a excessive styling, thus we've extracted only core design elements from certain racing livery then applied it tidy in order to meet the needs of car owner.
